On July 27, Mayor Gray, the District Department of the Environment (DDOE), and the Office of Planning (OP) announced an ambitious new vision for the District of Columbia – to be the most sustainable city in the US! DDOE and the OP are kicking things off with “Sustainable September,” providing an opportunity for everyone in the city to get involved. Our hope is that the NSIP pilot project will serve as an inspiring example of a DC community coming together to stimulate sustainability. One of the resulting initiatives - the Green Living Expo – is timed perfectly for “Sustainable September”. So stop by the Expo on September 24th and learn more about the Mayor’s green ambitions at the Office of Planning /NSIP booth. Hope to see you there!
